The Quest for Tiny Invisible Blue Whales
Details: Digital interactive storytelling
Role: Concept & Content development
Year: 2021
• See the Kickstarter campaign
The Quest for Tiny Invisible Blue Whales(or for brevity, the Quest) is a performative mixed-media essay on the cognition of (ir)rationality and enjoyment behind creative imagination. The Quest is a visual allegory for the importance of indulging in the surreal to unlock the elusive creative practice. Although the project is fantastical in its foundation and intuitively passes for a kids-oriented project it works on bridging adults’ imaginative practice gap.

Role: Narrative design, Research & Project management
Year: Current – 2020
“Friends, Out Of the Blue” is an experimental and participative edutainment (i.e., both educational and entertaining) kids picture book that includes reading and playing elements. Tender and rooted in honesty, Friends, Out Of the Blue is a love letter to the value of embracing vulnerability when forging meaningful friendships with oneself and our loved ones and exploring the resilience that personal recovery demands in the face of the inescapable reality of the “broken” heart.
Art direction, illustration & graphic design will be curated by Moriz Oberberger.
This project is funded by the Creative Industries Fund NL.

Baking the “Pan de Muerto” Livestream”
Understanding loss has never been so relevant as the year of 2020. We approached loss from the fields of art, science, architecture, graphic design and narrated storytelling. In re-interpreting the feeling of loss we kneaded sorrows into the orangy and sweet dough of “Pan de Muerto," followed by the meditative process of giving form to the pan. We burned pages of agendas (to commemorate lost time), contracts of lost gigs, read stories of lost ones and evoked cherished memories 🌿🍊🪔🍞
“Baking and Offering” is a social project by Gran Colectivo Pantitlán, in collaboration with Buurtwerkplaats Noorderhof and Bakkerij eenvoud and was funded by the Stichting Young Designers.
Unannounced game by DODO Games
Field: Serious Video Game
Role: Narrative & Learning Design
Year: Current – 2020
In the next 25 years, over half of current professions will have disappeared. We are teaching kids skills that are already obsolete. At Dodo Laboratory, we tap into the power of play to equip kids with 21st century skills they need to thrive in a world of wicked problems and fast-paced change. This market-entry “Monster Hunt” adventure game is designed to teach empathy, critical reflection and creativity.
Dodo Laboratory is collaborating with mental health researchers from the Discruptive Media Learning Lab of the Coventry University and is funded by the Berliner Startup Stipendium.
